Ed’s extensive law practice has mainly focused on energy and public utility law, representing utilities and large industrial and manufacturing companies before regulatory bodies such as the Illinois Commerce Commission, Missouri Public Service Commission, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He has argued and defended matters on their behalf before Appellate Courts in Illinois and the Illinois Supreme Court.
Upon graduation from St. Louis University School of Law, Ed joined the firm of Lueders, Robertson and Konzen and along with other partners in the firm, represented large industrial and manufacturing companies regarding their energy needs. He left as partner to explore an opportunity as legal counsel at Ameren Corporation, principally representing Ameren Illinois Company and its predecessors, and Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois. In this capacity, Ed managed the utilities’ electric and gas and rate cases, financings, contracts, legislative matters, strategy planning, among other responsibilities.
Aside from time with his family, Ed enjoys volunteer work. He is a Director and current President (2017-2019) of Aging Ahead, the agency that oversees Meals on Wheels and other older adult services in a four-county wide region of St. Louis. Ed also serves as Director, officer and volunteer for a food pantry that is the largest non-denominational pantry in the St. Louis region.
